Multicultural Pageant in Dublin Combines Beauty, Culture and Drug Education

Beauty, culture and community education came together in Dublin during the first Miss & Mrs Cross Continent pageant. Approximately 450 people attended the Dublin programme, where 24 contestants representing seven nations presented their cultures, talents and personal messages. Broccoli Care Ltd. sponsored the programme, which was organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. together with The Truth About Drugs Ireland. Participants were invited to explore educational materials explaining the risks and effects associated with drug abuse. Many of the contestants studied Truth About Drugs materials in advance, and several completed the full series of fourteen online courses. Cllr. Francis Timmons, Mayor of South Dublin, spoke during the programme about the importance of bringing communities together through education. The afternoon also included Irish, Indian and Indonesian dance performances, reflecting the international character of the gathering. At the end of the competition, Niveditha Vudayagiri was named Miss Cross Continent 2026. The first runner-up title went to Fortunate Lindokuhle Masina, followed by Yuki Yuliatin as second runner-up.
